It is almost impossible to walk past this Gastown neighbourhood favourite without being lured in by the smell of freshly baked bread, muffins and cakes of all varieties.

Small Victory
If you’re looking for a space to perch yourself for a few hours then look no further than Small Victory – a gorgeous cafe-bakery in Gastown and one of our favourite hangouts for laptop club. There’s a huge range of croissants, cakes and cheesecakes to keep you satisfied while you’re at work.

For classic baked goods you really can’t go past the charming Beacoup Bakery, a small cafe that is so popular you’ll only ever get select from freshly baked goodness (the hard part is narrowing down your options!)

If you find yourself over on Granville Island looking for an afternoon pick-me-up, then look no further than A Bread Affair. I couldn’t notice any vegan or GF options upon my visit, but the smell and traditional interior alone were worth a peak inside.

TurF
Over in Kitsilano where lululemon and pressed juice reign supreme you will find TurF, the neighbourhood hangout for milliennial gym goers sipping on a smoothie post-workout. There are a few vegan baked goodies in the pastry case, including vegan cookies, bliss balls and banana bread. The smoothies are also a treat and the menu is packed with vegan options.

BE FRESH
Much less a bakery and more of a grocer-come-cafe, I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge range of vegan baked goods inside Be Fresh. We’re talking cookies, banana bread and even pastries. Try the “to die for” vegan banana bread and prepare for an in-mouth explosion of YES!
