What is World of Wanderlust?
World of Wanderlust is a luxury travel blog. I share the hotels, lodges, safaris and destinations I’ve loved most, plus honest reviews and guides, so you can plan trips that are really worth taking. I’m Australian, and I’ve spent more than a decade travelling the world and writing about it here.
How can you afford to travel so much?
Travel has been my career for many years. I partner with hotels, resorts and tourism boards to share the places I think deserve the spotlight. When a stay is hosted, I say so, and my opinions are always my own.
Where is your favourite destination?
It keeps changing! For safari, nothing beats Botswana. Nowhere else feels as raw and real, and July is my favourite month to go. For a honeymoon or a truly relaxing escape, Tahiti is magical, with Italy a close second. My heart has a soft spot for Europe too, and for my home state of Tasmania, which has some of the most underrated scenery in the world.
What’s your favourite luxury stay?
Mnemba Island in Zanzibar is hard to beat. My first ever safari, at MalaMala in South Africa, is the trip that made me fall in love with Africa. I saw the Big Five in the first two days.
Who do you travel with?
I started out as a solo traveller, and solo travel is still a big part of this blog (you’ll find all those stories under the Solo Travel tab). These days I mostly travel with my family.
How can I become a travel blogger?
Start writing, and keep going! It takes time, perseverance and a lot of practice to turn a blog into a career, but it can be done. If you want to fast-track it, my masterclass shows you how to build a luxury travel blog that brands want to work with.
