My Winter Bucketlist with LifeProof

This post is part of a sponsored collaboration with Lifeproof.

For the majority of the year I have been chasing winter. Whether hiking trails in Patagonia or patting reindeer in Lapland, the entire year has been one winter season after the next, with a few small exceptions of course. But when I was approached by LifeProof with the opportunity to create my Winter Bucket List to capture and share with readers, I soon realised there were still heaps of activities I haven’t ticked off my list this year. For example, I’m ashamed to say I still have never learned to ski (in my entire life).

Since I have been using a LifeProof case on my iPhone throughout the year already, I thought this collaboration would be a great fit to show everyone how easy and effective it is to capture your travel moments with your phone and share them instantly with the world of social media.

I do have to say however, that capturing my winter bucket list items would not be possible without the LifeProof case as I have an inherent fear of dropping my phone on regular ground, let alone a blanket of snow or icy water (yup, they’re completely waterproof!).

So without further ado, here are my 3 Winter Bucket List items I pledge to check off this winter!

My Winter Bucket List with LifeProof

  1. Learn to Ski (preferably with a professional teacher present – ha!)
  2. Learn to Skate on ice
  3. Visit the Salzburg Christkindlmarkt

Before I even get started I already have in my mind the amazing images and video I’ll be hoping to capture on my adventures. To follow along, I’ll be using the #LPBucketList hashtag on social media and posting my winter fun on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and of course daily vlogs in December on YouTube.

I’d love to see your Winter Bucket List and would love for you to join the campaign by using the #LPBucketList hashtag for your travels – feel free to tag me as I’ll be on the lookout for your posts too!  In fact, you can enter the LifeProof Winter Bucket List Contest to potentially win some amazing prizes (like a $2000 adventure trip and a new iPhone 6 outfitted with the new LifeProof iPhone 6 case) by accomplishing what’s on your winter bucket list – you have until the end of February to do so. Click here to find out how to enter and good luck!

So, over to you – what is on your winter bucket list?!

I’m not the biggest fan of winter, but I absolutley love skiing and ice skating! For this winter, I would like to do some winter hiking, go snow tubing, and take substantially more photos during the winter time.

I would like to learn telemark skiing this winter season:) i already do cross-country, snowboard, and I have been doing lots of alpine skiing, so I want to try even more of the fun winter activities 😀 also, I´m working as an ski instructor in Norway, which is so much fun! Norway is an amazing place to learn to ski, whether it´s cross country or alpine skiing, you should definitely consider learning it here!

It’s so funny that some people have never skied / ice skated before! Growing up in the Northeast US I had about a million skating birthday parties to attend every winter. And in high school, Friday night open skating nights were always a go-to date idea.

What a lovely idea to have a winter bucket list! My list includes seeing the lights and Winter wonderland in London and making the most of the time off with my family and friends. Good luck learning to ski!

Learning to ski is quite fun especially with good scenery and ice skating depends on where you go (the environment of people).

Good luck with learning to ski! When I was in New Zealand, my boyfriend attempted to teach me to ski. I fell over more than I was skiing. But it was a butt load of fun!

Funny how you’ve been chasing winter – I’ve been a summer lover all my life but all your photos / posts are changing my mind! Also definitely learn how to ski and skate! I used to compete, but now they’re just hobbies and my source of adrenaline. (:

I simply cannot believe you’ve not learnt to ski, despite all of your winter adventures! I swear all of my holidays over the last half decade or more have been trips to the snow to go snowboarding. I guess that’s the beauty of being a snowboarder residing from Perth, Australia; it’s the perfect opportunity to travel! Next up is Japan again and then Austria, Germany and Switzerland!
