Last month I embarked on a solo journey to Botswana.

This was a destination I had long wanted to visit and had been saving for a special time in my life when I needed an escape to another, calmer reality than my own. It had been a big year leading up to this trip – filled with responsibility and being an actual grown up (ha!) with my first business taking control of my life, a life that had previously not relied on anyone or anything but my own decisions as to where I would like to adventure next.

This year I’m back on the road full time, after realising that at 26, it is okay to not have it all figured out. It is okay to not be starting a family or getting married like my friends around me, and it is okay to forge my own path, even if it is in the opposite direction to everyone near to me.

This realisation came late one night during my time in Botswana, as I sat down opposite someone who seemed to mirror where my thoughts were leading. He too was at a time in his life full of change and constant motion. I finally saw the answer I had been searching for but knew all along: do what you love and the rest will follow. And thus, I’m back on the road full time.

See you soon : Dubai!

I’m SO SO SO SO SO happy you are back on the road full time! I completely relate to being {just recently} 27 and not having it all figured out. Friends getting engaged and married back home, while I just moved to South Korea… I suppose we all have different paths. It’s comforting to hear it from someone in a similar situation. KEEP DOING YOU! We all love following your path wherever it leads you!

we all need to follow our own path…for some one it is about hitting the road, for someone about staying at home. There are no wrong or right choices, just what is right or wrong for us in a certain moment…and sometimes not even that.

Seems like you enjoyed Botswana! Happy to hear you’re doing what you love. Have fun in Dubai!
