Tree Camping

It’s as simple as the name suggests – camping in a tree. Whether it’s by yourself, with your partner, or with friends and family – tree camping offers adventure travelers a new and innovative experience that’s not just a little different, but borderline bazaar. California has beautiful scenery, and Elk is no exception. Tree Camping here offers stunning panoramic views of nature at it’s best – and indeed exceptional views from the comfort of your scenic tree-hanging location. Fans of tree camping suggest to pick the highest branch of your tree for optimum views – and be sure to settle in at sunset for an unbeatable experience.

What: Tree Camping
Where: Elk, California (or anywhere in the world you like)
How: It’s a little less glamorous and serene as the picture implies. You will have to rent all the necessary equipment for tree camping prior to your arrival. You will need to purchase the “Treeboat” bed – which comes with a mosquito net, blankets and a pillow.
Cost: Not cheap. Can be around hundreds of dollars for the required materials, however they are now easier than ever to acquire and can be bought online with a quick google search for “tree tents”!
