WOW BOOK CLUB: JUNE
Hello and welcome back! It has been a while since a good ol’ fashioned book club blog post and an update on what I’m reading on the road and new travel books I think you’ll love.
Firstly, my dear friend Matthew Kepnes is about to release his book 10 Years a Nomad: A Traveler’s Journey Home, which I am super excited to get my hands on in the pre-release (although you can’t read it yet, you can pre-order here!)
But for now, here’s what I’m reading this month (many of which are recommendations from my fellow WOW Book Clubbers, so thank you for all your input + ideas this month!
June Travel Reads
When I posted to Instagram that I was in search of new travel reads this month, I had more than 100 replies recommending this book. A human story of the holocaust, this novel promises an uplifting romance that I can’t wait to divulge.
In The Good Girls’ Guide to Getting Lost, the author travels to Ireland and sparks a new friendship with a fellow traveller. As they cross continents together she soon realises more truths about herself than she ever realised she was seeking. Sound familiar!?
With the tagline “The secret diaries of a junior doctor” I can already tell this book is going to be charismatic, funny and light-hearted. I aim to read this book on my long-haul flight back to South Africa this month.
I’ve had Giovanni’s Room on my reading list for quite some time now. The story follows the love affair of a man in Paris who forms a relationship with an Italian male bartender. Paris and love? I’m there.
Over to you! What are you reading this month?
