Sometimes you just need to tell yourself 20. Here are 20 of the best reminders you can tell yourself daily.

Bookmarking this page is not only welcomed, its recommended.

  1. Be thankful for what you have before asking more of yourself and others
  2. You will only regret the things you don’t do
  3. Forgive AND forget, not letting go of the past will fester into bitterness
  4. Eliminate negativity
  5. Eat well
  6. Have a consistent sleeping pattern
  7. Stop worrying so much
  8. Say “yes” more
  9. Read more, you can never learn too much
  10. Why walk when you can run?
  11. Dance like nobody’s watching
  12. Love fiercely (and fearlessly)
  13. Take more photos
  14. Swap excuses with apologies, even if you’re right it doesn’t hurt to be wrong
  15. Spend more time outside
  16. It’s never too late to learn a new skill
  17. Do what you love and love what you do
  18. Listen to criticism but don’t take it personally
  19. Quality not quantity
  20. Talk about your blessings more than you talk about your burdens

Hi Brooke, thank you for being such an inspiration. Your words never fail to motivate me and because of that, I decided to apply for a study abroad program. Although I am still just a university student, your blog spurred me to travel as much as I can and blog about my experiences as well hoping to inspire other people like you do. I feel so lucky for coming across your blog. I hope to see you in person.

Thanks for reminding me of this, we all sometimes forget how important it is to be thankful, to live life and forgive people, to keep in mind that we too make mistakes. Life is so much more than what we think, it’s a lot about learning too. Love your posts. You are not much older than me but you seem so much more experienced, I guess living on your own and traveling makes you see things more clearly, things that us static people tend to forget more often.

I feel that no matter how many times I read or hear these things, I can always use a reminder. As someone with pretty bad anxiety, I constantly need to tell myself to say “yes” to things. This one thing has caused so many changes in my life (for the good!). Thanks for sharing!
