Sneak Peek: The World of Wanderlust Book is here!

If you had have told me four years ago that I would travel the world for a career and write a book about it, I would have flat out thought you were crazy. Today I received my first official copy of my first published book, “World of Wanderlust: How to Live an Adventurous Life“. Looking back at the past 3.5 years since I started my blog, it is hard to really believe that those years actually happened, because so much has been packed in to so little time!

When I began blogging a few years ago I wanted to create a space on the internet for people who, like me, were travel obsessed and and just as excited about planning their getaways as they were actually taking them. I wanted to create a little hub on the internet that was solely devoted to fuelling wanderlust through beautiful imagery and real-life stories. I wanted to encourage, inspire and inform readers so that they would travel to more places, more often.

(P.S. I made the cake for my new venture, Charlie’s Dessert House opening in September!)

World of Wanderlust the book! World of Wanderlust the book!

Now, a few years and 60-something more countries under my belt, it is hard to believe what has happened to me, a small town girl from Tasmania, in such a short space of time. To describe my feelings as I opened the express post package today in any other word than grateful would be overdoing it. Because first and foremost above all else, I am grateful. Grateful for the chance to explore so much of the world and grateful for the chance to share it with you all in this colourful, exciting, just downright beautiful book!

Sneak Peeks!

So, what to expect for my book? Before you commit to buying the book I figured it would be a good idea to tell you a little more about it. What it is, why it is what it is and why you need it on your coffee table to flick through for instant inspiration!

The book is a compilation of my favourite photographs, places, things I’ve learned on the road and most of all endless inspiration to get you packing your bags and taking a trip. It is fun, girly, colourful (like me!) and absolutely packed with all-things-travel.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to my Editor, Sarah, the entire team at Penguin Random House Publishing, my contributing photographers Faye Bullock and Emma Kate Codrington, and of course YOU! Thank you for being such loyal readers of my blog and journey – I hope my adventures continue to inspire your own – be they abroad or in your own backyard.

Hey Brooke, I just checked out booktopia to find out that there is no digital copy available, will there be one? As I am currently living in germany i dont want to pay the shipping fees from oz/nz to ger. Is this the only shop you are going to publish your book (no amazon, ebay […])?

I was flicking through Booktopia (in the travel section of course) at work last week, and I was so excited when I saw your book! You’ve been a huge inspiration to me – I recently got back from a monthlong solo adventure in Europe at the ripe old age of 18… Just last year I was convinced that I needed to bring someone along with me! I had the most incredible time, and I don’t think I ever would have taken the leap if I hadn’t stumbled across your instagram and instantly fallen in love. Congratulations on your book, it looks amazing and I cannot wait to read it!! xx

      August 17, 2016 at 6:41 pm

18!!! Sarah, that is amazing! You should be so proud of yourself – it truly is such an eye-opening, grounding experience! I was twenty when I first took off and I can still remember those initial jitters like it was yesterday. But if I hadn’t have taken that first trip solo, none of this would have happened! You should be so, so proud – I know I am of you! <3 xx

    August 17, 2016 at 3:54 pm

Brooke! I’m absolutely over the moon excited for you! You have done an outstanding job in the last couple of years on your blog, your YouTube channel, your ebooks, your Instagram and now this! After reading all your blog posts I’m not surprised at how well you’ve done to get where you are! It’s great to see someone who, like me, loves to travel and chase her dreams. You’ve become an inspirational woman for women alike across the globe! Keep doing your thing Brooke! What an amazing achievement. Can’t wait to purchase it!

Of course Brooke! Easy to compliment someone that’s so generous, deserving, and hard working. Also oh my gosh you baked this?! 🙂 You have your hands in so many cakes or is the saying pies? I don’t even know, but it’s fantastic – thought you had ordered it. I don’t know how you get any sleep! No need to respond as I’m sure you’re incredibly busy. But, I’m heading to Singapore and then Indonesia for the next few weeks and will surely be following some of your fantastic recommendations. All the best to you and p.s. DO A BOOK TOUR!
