Stately and splendidly decorated, The Merrion Dublin Hotel is one of the finest hotels in the country. Service is given top priority, with guests being left to feel like the guests of honor at the Merrion. World of Wanderlust stopped by for a night at The Merrion to discover this fine hotel first hand…

The Merrion Hotel Dublin is perfectly located near to St Stephen’s Green, ensuring guests feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin but central enough to reach the main sights and attractions in only minutes by foot. The hotel is in a quiet private street, so it is little wonder this is a top choice for discerning travellers looking for an exclusive stay in Dublin.

One of the hotel’s highlights is the indoors infinity pool and luxurious spa – be sure to save some time to enjoy it.

The attentive staff have absolutely mastered the art of being and doing just enough, without ever being overbearing. It’s impossible not to feel as though you are the most important person in the building, and I’m sure they are capable of making each and every guest feel this special.

The Room

Rooms and suites located in the main house are a little pricier, but it is well worth splashing out. My room in the main house was incredibly spacious, so much so that I could have thrown a small party in there (kidding, of course not). The neutral colour palette felt clean, feminine and had a touch of a country estate feel. There was a charming welcome cake on arrival, as well as fresh blooms to make the room feel more homely – though it was already very comfortable regardless. There are all the usual amenities for a five star luxury property, but the luxurious bath amenities were truly something else. No expense has been spared in ensuring guests feel at home in their luxury suite in Dublin.

What’s The Verdict?

This is undeniably one of the finest hotels in Dublin and indeed Ireland. While there were many factors that made for an enjoyable stay, it was indeed the service which left me lost for words. The staff will quite literally go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home, with only the most Irish warm welcome from the moment you arrive, to the very point you leave.

Thanks to the Merrion for arranging this stay – my opinion is as always, my own.

It looks that we were in Dublin at the same time! That is if you wrote this post on the 29th May. We stayed at Westin, I definitely would recommend it! The post about our hotel soon, in the meantime, a stroll in Dublin!
