While the Kulm Hotel boasts a five star rating, the standard of luxury inside the walls of this establishment is beyond such a simple commendation. The rooms are lavishly decorated, yet the attention to detail delightfully extends to fresh flowers, luxurious bathroom amenities, and luscious linens to ensure a comfortable stay. Each room is individually decorated creating an authentic and unique oasis for guests to enjoy St Moritz from the very heart of the town.
Despite the popularity of St. Moritz being predominantly reflected in the colder months, a visit during summer brought with it the beaming sun and rich colours of the Swiss Alps. Waking up to open the curtains was welcomed by the sun pouring through the windows to bring a warmth to an already uplifting colour palette. With 173 rooms ranging from double rooms through to luxuriously appointed suites, the Kulm offers something for all preferences.
The half-board Gourmet Dine Around package is undeniably the best way to experience the full offerings at this five star property. This package includes accommodation, breakfast buffet, and an exquisite 6-course meal at Le Grand Restaurant, not to mention full use of spa facilities.
With the philosophy to ‘relax, detoxify, and regenerate’ guests, stepping inside the Kulm Spa St. Moritz is your ticket to a heavenly escape from reality. Guests should aim to visit at least once during their stay and enjoy the pool, sauna, and also be sure to indulge in at least one treatment during your stay. My personal preference lies with the Finnish Sauna experience to rid your body of toxins in this grounding, natural and nude experience at a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius.
The modern facilities in the fitness studio were matched by stunning views over lake St. Moritz, and the potential to book a personal trainer was also welcomed. The hotel also boasts a hair and beauty salon, ‘man spa’, and range of sport activities to enjoy. The hotel kindly encourages leisure activities, with room rates including green fees for the Kulm Golf Course and discounts for nearby courses. While summer activities include hiking; mountain biking; climbing and water sports, the true offerings are found in winter activities, with skiing and snowboarding; ice sports; horse carriage rides; and much more on offer.
The Kulm Hotel St. Moritz is an undeniable first choice for the discerning traveller visiting this timeless area of Switzerland. To enjoy this luxury property to its full extent, World of Wanderlust recommends booking a half-board Gourmet Dine Around experience and staying for a minimum of two nights to make the most of your summer visit or a week on the slopes for those visiting during winter.
