Just Passing Through Stockholm Sweden

Can you believe there are only a handful of countries I am yet to explore in Europe and perhaps even more unbelievable (especially to me), was the fact that I had never been to Sweden! Earlier this year I visited Northern Europe for the first time, spending a few days in Copenhagen, Denmark. I loved it so much that I started to research more places to visit in the North and have since been back to explore 3 regions in Finland (Helsinki, Lapland and Savonlinna).

Now that I’ve spent 4 nights in Stockholm Sweden, I have my sights set on visiting Norway in the new year… plus coming back to explore more of Sweden, Denmark and Finland. But for my first time in Sweden, I couldn’t have been more excited to beΒ just passing throughΒ in my Reefs. Here’s a little more insight into my 4 days in Stockholm….

For my first ever visit to Sweden, I was able to squeeze in a jam-packed itinerary for my 4 days / 3 nights stay. I was in town with the Visit Stockholm Tourism Board and will be sharing my top tips for Stockholm over the next few days (be sure to check back daily or follow WOW on Bloglovin’ to stay updated!!).

We had a lot of walking to do over the few days, so I was pretty chuffed to have received my new season Reefs a few days prior to leaving Berlin, just in time to shoot aΒ streetstyle article in Stockholm. As we’re now in the cooler months in the Northern Hemisphere, my picks for this season were mainly boots (pictured: Reef Compassing) and a couple of casual flats to wear for short outings. However in Stockholm it was incredibly cold already at this time of year so I stuck to my boots for the most part!

3 days in Stockholm

Day 1

On day 1 we landed, checked-in to our hotel, and rushed off to make the most of our first day in Stockholm. For those of you who don’t follow my updates on Youtube, the ‘we’ I am referring to is revealed in this video. Afterwards we wandered through the old town, sipped on delicious hot chocolate, ate all of the sweet treats we could consume for a sugar hit to keep us going, and finally made our way to Miss Voon for an outrageously good dinner.

Day 2

On day 2 we were scheduled back-to-back with an exciting itinerary – just the way I like it when I only have a few days in a new city! In tomorrow’s blog post I will reveal many of the activities we enjoyed on this day and outline the Top 10 Things to Do in Stockholm.

Day 3

Day 3 wasΒ a day to meet with a Swedish entrepreneur in Sofo, Stockholm’s design district, followed by shooting in the afternoon and a few meetings later in the day. Before we knew it it was time to pack our bags and get ready to fly out the next day to Prague!

World of Wanderlust is a proud ambassador of Reef shoes and this trip was possible with thanks to the Visit Stockholm Tourism Board – my opinion is as always my own.

Stockholm is such a nice city!

You should definitely come to Norway! ItΒ΄s so beautiful here πŸ™‚ I live in Oslo, and I love my city and country πŸ™‚ There are so many things to see here, and places to visit, that I don’t even know where to start!! Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim and TromsΓΈ are great cities to visit! And you should definitely visit the mountains and the fjords on the western part (Preikestolen and Hardangerfjorden for example), or in Lofoten! πŸ™‚

There are so many places I have yet to visit in Norway, even though I have been quite a few places πŸ™‚ Norway is beautiful any time of the year, but I would recommend visiting in the summer time, because the landscape, fjords and mountains are beautiful at that time πŸ™‚

I am so jealous (in a good way πŸ˜‰ ) that you’ll be visiting Norway later on! Have you decided which city/cities to visit? Just a recommendation, you should check out TromsΓΈ up North. It’s within the Arctic circle and if you get lucky you can witness the northern lights. The city itself is really beautiful! I made a post about it. Oslo is a great city as well πŸ™‚ Anyways, I’m looking forward to seeing you post about your future trips πŸ˜€

Stockholm looks like a beautiful city and good video by the way! Even if you were there for only a short time, sometimes when we tend to see even more in those few days than if we were to spend a whole week there. I definitely need to put Sweden on my “travel list” (I am half Swedish so it only makes sense, right?)

Hi Brooke – watched your video. So sweet! Glad you’ve got some great company to travel with. When I saw you and your mum excited over chocolate, I just had to share with you – if you’re ever in the southern parts of Germany like Munich or Baden-Baden, or in Switzerland, look out for Laderach. Soooo good, better than Lindt for sure πŸ™‚
