Just Passing Through Iguassu Falls – Bucket List South America!

There are cities and sights you mentally mark as places to visit one day, and then there are those that feel cemented in your mind as Bucket List destinations – Iguassu Falls is definitely the latter of the two.

I arrived in Iguassu Falls as part of my Contiki Tour of Latin America, travelling from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro.

Just Passing Through Reef

The day began on the Argentinian side of the falls, where we made our way down to the falls to view them at various lookouts along the way. I took this opportunity to finally wear my new season Reefs as they were the perfect blend between comfortable and stylish – oh yeah, and I just love these shoes more than words.

So there I was, kicking back (literally) with my feet up on the side of an old truck driving through the Argentinian jungle en route to the departure point for… wait for it… a speedboat ride INTO the falls. Unfortunately my camera had a major malfunction and decided it would wipe all of my photos clear, so I was limited to taking photos on my iphone and gopro camera until I had the issue sorted. Sadly this meant much of my Buenos Aires footage and images were resting in peace in cyberland…. but hey, it’s all part of travel!

Iguassu Falls

Looking at the falls from afar is one thing, but actually going in them and being sprayed by the bucketing water is another. Talk about Bucket List!!!

I then hiked back to the various lookout points and we continued to explore Iguassu Falls for the entire day. Bliss.

Keep an eye out for the Contiki video coming soon on Youtube.
