Hotel Isle de France St Barthelemy Review

If you’re looking for the creme de la creme of the French Caribbean, this is it. The luxurious Hotel Isle de France is the crowning jewel of St Barthelemy. This property will leave even the most discerning traveler jaw-dropped, as a dedicated team of staff take every measure to ensure your stay here is unforgettable. From the moment you arrive, you can expect to be treated as a special guest to a private party – right here in the Caribbean’s most exclusive island – St Barthelemy.

The Isle de France experience

From the moment I was collected by my driver, Udo, I knew I was about to experience one of the world’s most exclusive properties. On the car journey to the hotel I was informed of all the events on the island in the Summer Festival, as well as given a brief introduction to the island and its’ various charms along the way.

As my room wasn’t ready at the time I checked in (three hours prior to check-in), I was offered a changing room and promptly ushered to the hotel pool to enjoy the sunshine and enjoy a poolside drink while I waited. Not long after I decided to head over to the hotel’s restaurant, La Case de l’Isle, for a mouthwatering three-course lunch.

After checking in to my room some time later, I made my way back to the beach to enjoy the last moments of sunshine for the day. In the early evening a fashion show then kicked off the evening at the hotel, with many hotel guests and outside guests enjoying a champagne lounge into the early hours of the evening.

The Suite

Rooms and suites at the Isle de France are as close as you will find to feeling at home while on vacation. There are many homely touches – candles, lush linens, luxurious bath products, and plenty of space to ensure you enjoy your private sanctuary. I was welcomed to my room with a generous plate of sweet treats and a bottle of French champagne – the French truly do know how to win a ladies’ heart!

But the highlights continued beyond the spacious suite, to outside on the balcony overlooking the hotel pool and a complete ocean view to enjoy. If you’re enticed by ocean views, be sure to book one of these suites on the first floor.

The hotel also generously offer in room DVD’s for guests in both French and English, so if you wish to stay in for the evening this is a great way to do so, combined with in-room dinner service. The in-room menu is unmistakeably French which only adds to this authentic French experience at the Isle de France.

Should you have any requests, the team of staff will go the extra mile to cater to your needs. It is this small team of dedicated professionals that truly make this property stand out above others on the island and will leave you wishing to extend your stay (and never leave the island)!!

Book this hotel if…

This would have to be one of the premier choices on the island of St Barthelemy. The Isle de France is in a league of it’s own and I will be very excited to see the changeover in October when the hotel becomes a part of the Cheval Blanc (Louis Vuitton) collection!

See the website for the latest offers and rates at theΒ Isle de France.

World of Wanderlust was welcomed to the Hotel Isle de France as a guest of the hotel and Ultimate Jet Vacations, however my opinion is as always, my own.
