Bali has quickly become a honeymooners’ hotspot with its tropical climate, colourful rain forests and unbeatable allure as a whimsical island getaway for loved up couples. So where are the best honeymoon hotspots in Bali? WOW has recently visited Bali to check out some of the honeymoon hotspots and report back on where is most on trend right now.

Chances are that if you’re looking at romantic getaways in Bali, you’re already familiar with the iconic cliffside resort that is Alila Villas Uluwatu. The uber luxury resort prides itself on a minimalist eco design, with each villa offering guests an open villa with a private pool and unrivalled cliffside views over the ocean.

What you’ll love

Aside from the villa itself, the resort has all the lurks and perks one would expect with a $1,200+ per night price tag. The main public area features a large infinity pool and plenty of birdcage hideaways to enjoy a private poolside lunch. There’s also private beach access, a well-equipped fitness centre, a world-class spa, and a number of reasonably priced dining options. Even if you can’t afford to stay, be sure to drop by Alila for sunset drinks in the birdcage or a lovely meal at Warung; Alila’s Indonesian restaurant that will leave your eyes watering and mouth drooling (a particular fave!!!).

Slightly more affordable than its’ sister property but equally stylish and secluded is the newer of the two in the collection; Alila Villas Soori. The upside to staying at Soori is the secluded nature of the property, as it is neatly tucked away on the West Coast of Bali where development is still highly uncommon. The beaches are private and people sightings are rare, making this the perfect honeymoon getaway spot in Bali. However don’t be troubled by the remote location, as the Alila team will collect and return you to the International Airport by a private chauffeured vehicle, even providing snacks for the journey! Be sure to book yourself in for a luxurious couples’ spa treatment before your stay – they’re highly popular!

What you’ll love

The price point is high but so is the quality of what’s on offer at Alila Soori. Staff are accommodating and friendly, however make every effort to leave guests to enjoy their peaceful getaway without disruption. Should you ever need anything, your personal butler is a mere phone button away. The beachside location is another great perk and it is possible for guests to walk to the beach in a few steps from their very own private access.

A great alternative for the budget conscious is the extremely affordable Alila Manggis. With rooms as low as $280 per night, this is a great option for honeymooners with budget restrictions that still want to experience and enjoy the beauty of Alila properties. Alila Manggis is tucked away on the unspoilt East Coast of Bali, well and truly away from the hustle and bustle of Balinese life.

What you’ll love

Perhaps the greatest feature of this property is the ability to cater to guests on a more restricted property, but still deliver the high quality of service Alila is renowned for having perfected. The property is also home to a highly celebrated cooking school, so be sure to book in a couples class during your stay. There are also some great opportunities to snorkel in the nearby area.

World of Wanderlust was welcomed to Alila properties as a guest, however my opinion is as always my own. I would highly recommend each of these properties on their given merits and if its recommended on this website, its recommended to a friend!

Those hotspots looks amazing, but I’ve been to Bali and I know it’s easy to find much cheaper hotels. Also if you want something special. But those hotspots looks really amazing, so yes I understand the price difference.

Bali is so beautiful even though when I went I wasn’t on my honeymoon and I stayed in places that were priced around $20/night instead of $1200/night. But the $20 places definitely don’t compare to the paradise pictures you posted above.

Maybe one day I’ll come back there on my honeymoon and stay at one of the places with a private pool 🙂

Sitting here in the middle of winter in the USA, I really want to hop the next flight to Bali!!! No downsides to Bali itself? These resorts don’t look like they have any downsides…except maybe the cost! Truly beautiful and peaceful.

They are all so beautiful!! Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone who could or would pay $1000 per night! Thanks for adding the budget option…I think that’s more realistic for a honeymoon. But who knows with how much people are spending on weddings now.
