For the upmost traditional English experience in the centre of Mayfair (yes, that’s the expensive property on the monopoly board), Dukes Hotel London offer a truly unique and unrivalled British experience.
Located just a short 5 minute stroll from Buckingham Palace and nearby to all the main tourist attractions within the area, this English hotel has a reputation its competitors can only dream of – and history that simply cannot be beat. Remember that small film franchise – James Bond – yes, that’s the one… its very own creator, Ian Fleming, used to drink here in the 50’s and once ordered his martini “shaken not stirred”. Et Voila! A legend was born.
Yet loyal guests don’t just come here for the signature Vesper Martinis… from the concierge to the charming British atmosphere, to the flawless commitment to guest satisfaction, Dukes Hotel London will go above and beyond to ensure guests experience the London time refuses to forget. What’s more, with Prince Charles as your immediate neighbour its impossible to not be left feeling like royalty yourself inside the walls of a spacious suite.
The rooms range from modest ‘classic rooms’ designed for comfort and intimacy, through to the opulent penthouse suite on the fifth floor of the hotel. Each room has a unique flair, yet all rooms and suites are humbly appointed to ensure a homely appeal. Following a neutral palette with warm undertones, one cannot help but to feel welcomed each time you re-enter your home away from home, right in the centre of London.
Our time at Dukes Hotel was spent inside the Lord Nelson Suite – a spacious and comfortably decorated suite with all the added extras to ensure an enjoyable stay. Dukes’ suites come with complimentary mini bar, complimentary in-room movies, complimentary wifi, and of course a complimentary newspaper over a full English cooked breakfast. With all these offerings in an unbeatable location amidst London’s most famed attractions, a stay at Dukes is a must-do at least once in your life time.
