Bonjour from the gorgeous French countryside! This blog title might seem a little confusing to some of you in the Southern Hemisphere, where we are now entering Autumn/Winter in Australia. However lucky for me I’m escaping the cold once again this year and spending the Spring season in Europe before the summer crowds arrive!
Sitting in my hotel room before we head off to explore for the day, I realised it has been a while since I’ve shared “what’s in my bag”, so today I’m doing a bag spill to share with you the beauty products I’ve been trying (and loving) lately. Some are oldies I can’t seem to shake (like this face mist I won’t travel anywhere without) and some are newer products I’ve been recommended by friends and fellow bloggers (like this Charlotte Tilbury lippie recommended by Brooke Testoni).
Spring Beauty Essentials
Cleanse & Prep
You might have noticed I’m still using the Eve Lom Cleanser after it was recommended to me a couple of years ago by Emma Bates (who I swear has the nicest, glowing skin on any girl I have ever seen). For the past couple of weeks I’ve also been trying out the Good Genes treatment by Sunday Riley, as I’ve been using (and loving) their face oil for a while longer and my goodness does that little bottle work in ways of what can only be described as magic! If you spend a lot of time in air conditioned spaces (like airports and planes) or envy girls with glowing skin, the Juno face oil is a lifesaver.
There’s only one product I travel with to refresh myself after a long haul flight and that’s a product you will have seen countless times on this blog (I’m sorry I just can’t stop singing its praise!); and that is the Tatcha face mist. I carry this around in my handbag everywhere and also find it a great start to the day (nothing like a spray in the face to wake you up!) Despite having used this product for so long I’m still on my first bottle! So while it is an investment at first, thankfully it is with you for the long haul (literally!)
One product you all know I swear by that isn’t pictured here is my Clinique eye cream that has sadly run out and I’m still yet to remember I need to repurchase whenever I pass through duty free. This is a product I never travel without as it only requires a small amount under the eyes in the evenings and is the surest way of fighting jet lag as it leaves your eyes feeling silky smooth and has a way of bringing them back to life overnight!
Makeup & Fragrance
Ahhhh, Spring! So far in to our journey I’m most excited to (hopefully) catch the cherry blossoms in Paris, so have been sure to follow a pink theme in my beauty buys this month, with this glowing Charlotte Tilbury blush in “Ecstasy” shade and my Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in “Stoned Rose” (yup, I’m kinda obsessed with CT make-up at the moment). As a longtime fan of Christian Dior fragrances (I’ve been wearing Hypnotic Poison for about 7 years), I’ve packed my favourite Spring scent; My Dior. This smell always reminds me of blossoms and is light/sweet without being sickly (a hard balance to strike!)
Well that’s it from me – I hope to run into some readers in Europe (Snapchat is a great way to see where I am currently) and I can’t wait to share all of these adventure with you all! xo
This is not a paid/sponsored post – just sharing my current & long-term favs!
