Hello! My name is Brooke Saward, a 26 year old with restless feet and a desire to see the whole world, one country at a time. I created this space on the internet as a hub for people like me who want to be inspired daily to travel and live a more adventurous life everyday.
How I came in to Blogging
I’ve always been encouraged by my parents to “do what you love” because at the end of the day, our happiness is our most precious possession. When I finished my University studies I knew I didn’t want to be stuck behind a desk all day [I’m a little too curious for that], so I booked a ticket to London for a gap year of travel.
I was overseas solo for about 6 months before I saw the opportunity to start blogging as a career. Before then I was spending more money than I was making, and blogging was just a fun way for me to share my travels. Nowadays blogging if my full time gig, and though I don’t think it will last forever, I’m happy to keep sharing my adventures for as long as it lasts!
Outside of Blogging and my Home Life
After a few years working on my blog full time, I started to crave new hobbies and skills, so I moved home to Tasmania and began to slow down my full time travels. In that time i opened two businesses in my home town, purchased my first apartment and spent half my time at home, half my time travelling the world.
This time at home was a real eye-opener for me, as I started out enjoying routine and living a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. But after a year and a half working on my businesses, I began to burn out and crave the freedom of travelling and the people I would meet along the way.
At the time of writing, I’m back to travelling full time. My businesses are running themselves, my apartment is on AirBnB, and my car is collecting dust while I’m back on the road living out of a suitcase, calling everywhere and nowhere home.
I hope you enjoy following along the journey and I hope to meet many of you along the way!
