Travel is not often as glamorous as it looks through an instagram feed — perfect picnics, put together outfits, perfectly curled hair — but it doesn’t have to be the opposite either! To keep yourself feeling fresh faced and combat jetlag head on, here are the 8 cosmetics made for travel (and why you need them)!

Cosmetics for travel Le Labo Travel Fragrance Travel Cosmetics

1. Le Labo Travel FragranceΒ

This is by far the most user-friendly fragrance for travellers. It comes in a screw top metal container to ensure no leakage and smells DIVINE!

2. Aesop Face Oil

Travel has a way of draining your skin and your entire body thanks to air conditioning and change of climate, but this particular brand of face oil (Aesop) has a way of restoring your skin in just one application.

3. Tatcha face mist

This is one of my favourite travel cosmetics – a light spray will leave you feeling refreshed and revived in moments!

4. Natio Makeup Wipes

These are the perfect alternative to cleansing (i.e. when you just can’t be bothered cleaning your face before bed) and can also be used in situations like overnight trains or long-haul flights.

5. Natio moisturiser

This is my go-to low-priced moisturiser that keeps my skin feeling nourished for the entire day. Be sure to combine with a light coat of sun protection if visiting a warm climate.

6. Eve Lom Muslin Clothes

Muslin cloths are relatively new to the scene but are an absolute must in maintaining clear and clean skin. Use daily with Eve Lom Cleanser (below) for the best results.

7. Eve Lom Cleanser

Eve Lom are a premier cosmetics company who do one thing better than they do anything else: cleanser. A cleanser that has even been dubbed as ‘probably the best cleanser in the world’ by Vogue! Although it is a bit of an investment, a little goes a long way!

8. Moroccan Oil

Moroccan oil has quickly become a staple item in many girls’ cosmetic pouches, so why not take it with you when you travel!? Moroccan oil comes in small travel-friendly bottles and is a great way to ensure your hair retains essentials oils while you travel (very important, especially if you’re spending a lot of time in the sun!)

9. Kiehl’s Eye Cream

If there’s just one thing I need to combat jetlag (aside from water, never undermine what a bottle of water can do for your skin), its eye cream. Apply nightly to combat jetlag and leave your skin feeling fresh and revived.

Over to you! What are your favourite products and brands you take travelling with you?

This list really comes as an early rescuer. I’m going on a trip in April and I’m already thinking about what I need to take with me during long flights and train rides. Thanks! Saving this one.

Face mist is my number 1 go-to as well! Especially for those longer flights, it’s amazing what difference it makes! Great list, Brooke!

The Eve Lom cleanser made me break out severely so definitely try a sample before you fork out the dough. The muslin cloth is amazing though. My travel recommendation is a solid hair and body oil I bought from the Body Shop. It comes in a little tin, can be used to moisturise skin (great on hands as well), tame fly away hair and great for conditioning dry ends. And the cetaphil 50plus sunscreen with the orange lid. Doesn’t block pores or sting eyes.
