There will be no ‘stock images’ here… presenting to you 10 of the best hotel room views in the world that you will find – tried and tested by yours truly. Each of these hotels were visited within the past 12 months by World of Wanderlust.

kulm hotel st moritz

1. Kulm Hotel St Moritz

The Kulm in St Moritz is renowned for being one of the most distinguished hotels in this winter ‘playground for the rich and famous’. St Moritz is much quieter during the summer should you wish to visit and enjoy the town to yourself – but come winter time this place really comes to life as the who’s who of the world flock to St Moritz for a winter getaway.

luxury treehouse hotel

2. Singita Sweni, Kruger National Park

Overlooking the Kruger National Park is a hard one to beat when a luxury lodge such as Singita Sweni in Kruger National Park is essentially offering National Geographic live-to-air.

Shangri-La Paris Eiffel Tower

3. Shangri-La Paris

Ahhhh the iconic Parisian hotel view itself. Nothing beats the Shangri-La when it comes to Parisian hotel rooms with a view – so it is little wonder there were a total of 50 engagement proposals (all of whom said yes) at the hotel in 2013.

four seasons prague

4. Four Seasons Prague

Prague has been thrown into the limelight over the past few years as the “must visit” capital of Europe. If you’re heading to Prague for the first time and looking to indulge in luxury as well as culture and history, the rooms at the Four Seasons have the best possible view of old town Prague and the Charles Bridge.

hong kong

5. Intercontinental Hotel Hong Kong

The Intercontinental has unrivalled views of the Hong Kong Harbour from the Kowloon side, as it occupies the prime harbour-front position. While the penthouse suite has a private pool with the best views, the harbour view rooms are equally impressive.

Four Seasons Sydney

6. Four Seasons Sydney

The iconic Sydney harbour has become a ‘must see’ destination thanks to the time zone difference which leaves the entire world waking up on New Years Day with an image on their screen of the Sydney harbour fireworks. But where to go for the best views? None other than the Four Seasons Sydney. Just be sure to book a full harbour view room!

7. Alila Villas Uluwatu

Bali has it’s fair share of luxury resorts – but the Alila Villas are among the cream of the crop. My favourite from the collection would have to be Alila uluwatu with these stunning views right from the comfort of your bed or sun lounger. Yes, that’s a private pool overlooking the Indian Ocean!

Shangri-La Dubai

8. Shangri-La Dubai

Dubai is a thriving metropolis packed with high-rise buildings and sweeping city views. For the best view of the city (that will include all those famous buildings in the frame), head to the Shangri-La Dubai executive club lounge floor.

Arosa Kulm Hotel

Arosa Kulm Hotel

9. Arosa Kulm

And of course you’re all wondering where the iconic World of Wanderlust photo was taken – it is indeed in Switzerland outside my room at the Arosa Kulm Hotel!

10. Sumahan Istanbul

The Sumahan Istanbul has the most advantageous view of Istanbul from the Asian side there is. This hotel is also a great option to escape the hustle and bustle of Istanbul, whilst offering complimentary shuttle boats to the Europe side.

All absolutely stunning, obviously, but city skyline + water + mountain = Hong Kong wins for me. Plus, those buildings lit up at night and reflecting off the water would be incredible!

Have you ever been to Santorini? You get surreal views anywhere along the cliff edge of the caldera with stunning sunsets! And I also visited Echoes Boutique Hotel back in March in the Blue Mountains with the most gorgeous views of the mountains themselves… Such views never make you want to leave the place where you are staying. sighs. Four Seasons in Prague and Shangri-La in Paris look fab. x
